Activity 2.1 A Philosophical Question

Online Graphing

I think that I have very few habits and that I make free will choices throughout my day. The main habit I have is sleep. I average about 6 hours of sleep per night, with an occasional nap after work.  I stay up doing all kinds of things: reading, watching movies, playing on my IPad, doing laundry, anything but going to bed. I will fall asleep with the lights, TV, and clothes still on, down in my family room. I wake up, change into my sleep clothes, wash my face, brush my teeth, and floss. By the time I climb into bed, I am wide-awake, so I read in bed with my flashlight so I do not wake my husband who has been asleep for hours.  I am a night owl and so were my parents. When my son visits over the holidays or summer, he and I push back our bedtimes to no earlier than 3 am. I am trying to get into the habit of going to bed earlier because I know that getting 7-8 hours of sleep a night is supposed to be good for stress, health and weight maintenance. So lately I have been trying to get all ready for bed around 11pm, read, or play with my IPad in bed so when I am tired I can just close my eyes and sleep! A third category of things I do during the day, occasionally, is to go on automatic or "sleep walk" when I have had very little sleep. I am like a zombie, not alive, but not quite dead, simply existing somewhere between habit and free will.
