Activity 2.2: Power Point Lecture

Activity 2.2: Power Point Lecture

A major tenet of behaviorism is that humans and animals are alike in how learning occurs. Internal thinking, or a mental event, is explained in behavioral terms, while external, observable behavior, can be measured objectively and scientifically. Behaviorists believe our minds are “blank slates” when we are born, we have no “free will”, and our behaviors are learned from the environment through classical or operant conditioning. All behavior results from a response to a stimulus (McLeod, 2007).
